Morning to all of our All League Meet Families, 

It's Christmas in July tomorrow!  Bring out your tinsel and trimmings, let's go swim fresh and fast! 

Attached to this email you will find the final meet schedule and meet sheets for each half.  There is also a Herndon Swim League - All League Meet page where you can get more info if you would like.

We are still in need of some volunteers - please help us make sure we run a fast and efficient meet.  Naomi and I can't clerk our team area, as we will be Head Clerks on deck so we need parent volunteers - 

• 1st half Ribbon Awarder - you are on deck next to the timers and hand out a special ribbon to each of the heat winners.  You will be close to the action and get your steps in! 
• Team Area Clerks of Course - we need you to stay on top of the events and send kids from the team area to the deck head clerks (Me/Naomi).  It is a little bit of a walk, so we need kids to be sent in time and not miss a race!

Logistics for the meet - 

• Warm-ups (Lanes 1-3)
  • 1st half swimmers (IM, Back, Breast) 7:25-7:35
  • 2nd half swimmers (Mixed Relay, Fly & Free) during half-time break
• Team Area - we will be under the big tree like in years past, typically we don't need tents but the grass can be sparse, so bring blankets, towels, chairs to sit on.  If anyone wants to bring a Christmas Tree for "Christmas in July" have at it!! 
• Order of Events - pay close attention here and match it up with what your kids are swimming
  • IM
  • Backstroke
  • Breaststroke
  • Half-time Break (volunteers switch, senior scholarships)
  • Mixed-age Relay 
  • Butterfly
  • Freestyle
• Entries - 
  • There are two divisions swimming at the same time
  • Champs - there was a "faster than" time to be qualified as a champ in your event - this ensures all of the champs are competing against each other. 
  • Allstars - all other entries are Allstars, and are competing against other Allstars
  • The heats will be mixed with both Champs and Allstars in the water, last heat is the fastest but 6th place finisher in that heat could be the 1st entry for Allstars and still get the All Star gold medal!  
  • Awards - We will distribute awards as soon as they are ready throughout the day.  Don't leave without your award!  Results do get posted on the fence after events complete.
• Any last-minute scratches will be handled at the meet but please text me (703-731-0948) or email us if you are not going to make it! 
• Instagram will be kept updated throughout the day with meet progress
